Historicaly I've only worked as a designer on aircraft and MOD contracts, but would like to move into automotive design. With that in mind, I'm proposing to design and potentialy construct a 'Hot Test' rig for aircooled VW engines.
The test rig would enable an engine to be run up and tuned prior to it's fitment into a vehicle.
The design process would involve such things as:
Design and concepts sketched out and evaluated.
Convergence and Divergence selection processes.
Gant/Critical Path Analysis charts.
3D modelling of components and assemblies.
Fully dimensioned 2D drawing package.
FEA. (Finite Element Analysis)
PDS. (Product Design Specification)
Animation of prototype.
Rapid Prototype model of final design.
